HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana hosts Lamar in a three-game series this weekend, returning to Southland Conference play with a Green Out at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field for Friday's 6 p.m. series opener.
Lion fans are encouraged to wear green to Friday's game in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The remaining games in the series between Southeastern (12-4, 3-0 Southland) and Lamar (10-8, 0-3 Southland) are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
All three games in the conference series can be heard in the Hammond, Louisiana, area on KSLU 90.9 FM, and worldwide online or through the TuneIn Radio app (search for KSLU). Fans can keep up with the game through live statistics or by following @SLUathletics on Twitter.
The Southeastern Channel will provide a free video stream of Friday's game. Streaming video of the final two games in the series will be available on LionVision, Southeastern's subscription-based video stream.
Sunday is Family Day and a Cane's Challenge game. Cub Club members will be allowed on the field to stand with their favorite player for the National Anthem and to run the bases at the conclusion of the game. If the Lions scores four or more runs, everyone in attendance wins a buy one get one free meal deal from Raising Cane's. Fans can bring their game day tickets to redeem the deal and students can pick up a card from the student entrance.

Coming off a 12-4 win Tuesday at South Alabama, Southeastern has won eight straight games.
At the plate, the Lions are led by Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week
Taylor Schwaner. A junior from New Orleans, Louisiana, Schwaner is hitting .362 with five home runs, 26 RBIs and eight stolen bases. Other top hitters for Southeastern include

The Lions are hitting .253 as a team, with 25 doubles, seven triples, 10 home runs and rank sixth nationally with 35 stolen bases. Southeastern's pitching staff enters the series with a 3.51 ERA, having fanned 124 batters through 141 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .240 off Lion pitching.
Friday, the Lions will send junior right-hander
Mac Sceroler (3-0, 2.08) to the mound opposite Lamar junior righty Tanner Driskill (1-2, 4.44).
Sophomore right-hander
Corey Gaconi (1-0, 3.37) is slated to get the starting nod Saturday at 2 p.m. versus Cardinal junior righty Carson Lance (3-1, 2.66).
Lamar is slated to start junior right-hander Jace Cambell (1-1, 3.86) in Sunday's 1 p.m. series finale. The Lions have not announced a starting pitcher for that contest.
Robin Adames (.368), Reid Russell (.364) and Cole Coker (.302) lead the Cardinals at the plate. Russell paces the club with four home runs and 18 RBIs. Lamar is hitting .259 collectively, with 30 doubles, three triples, 15 home runs and six stolen bases.
The Cardinals' pitching staff owns a 3.82 ERA entering the series, striking out 141 batters in 158 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .251 off Lamar pitching this season.
Swept in its Southland opener at Sam Houston State this past weekend, Lamar rebounded with wins over Prairie View A&M, 15-7, Tuesday, and Texas Southern, 5-2, Wednesday.
General Admission tickets for each game are $9 for adults and $6 for children (ages 3-12). Tax is included in the price of admission. Southeastern students are admitted free with a valid university ID card.
