2016 (Sophomore): All-Southland and All-Louisiana performer … started all 16 games in which he appeared … compiled a 10-4 record and 2.25 ERA in 96 innings of work … held opponents to a .231 batting average, walking 33 and fanning a team-leading 93 batters … led the Southland Conference in wins, ranked third in strikeouts and fourth in ERA … win total is the third-most in a single season in school history … 11th pitcher in school history to earn double-digit wins in a single season … led the team in wins, starts and strikeouts … second on the team in ERA and innings pitched … won eight-consecutive starts (March 19-May 7) … went 17.1-straight innings without allowing an earned run (March 13-April 2) … tossed eight shutout innings, allowing only two hits, and combined with Derrick Mount and Drew Avans to toss one of the Lions’ three two-hitters in 2016 … combined with Mount (1.1 IP) again to toss the 17th one-hitter in school history, April 30, against Houston Baptist … fanned a career-high 10 batters on just five innings against Troy (Feb. 27) … tossed eight shutout innings in the Lions’ 10-0 victory over rival McNeese in the Southland Conference Tournament, earning the win and a spot on the All-Tournament team … earned Southland All-Academic honors … named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2015 (Freshman): Earned Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America honors after compiling a 3-2 win-loss record, a team-high six saves and a 2.45 ERA … appeared in 19 games, all in relief … limited hitters to a .160 batting average in 29.1 innings of work, allowing just 17 hits … fanned 26 batters, walking just five … turned in 13 scoreless outings … worked a career-high 3.1 scoreless innings to earn the win in a walk-off, extra-innings victory over McNeese State (5/21) in an elimination game at the Southland Conference Tournament … also earned wins against Jackson State (2/17) and Northwestern (2/28) … credited with saves against South Alabama (3/11), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/20), Northwestern State (4/4), Utah (4/10), UL Lafayette (4/14) and Lamar (5/2).

High School: Multi-sport letterman at Denham Springs HS … lists pitching in the Connie Mack World Series as his biggest sports thrill … All-State, All-Metro and All-District baseball performer as a senior … struck out 52 batters in 62.1 innings pitched, ending his junior season with a 1.83 ERA.

Personal: Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana … son of Donnie and Pasha Sceroler … has a sister, Kylie … enjoys hunting and fishing … uncle Ben McDonald is a former No. 1-overall pick in the Major League Baseball Draft, pitching for the Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers … uncle Brett Laxton tossed earned a complete-game win over Wichita State in the 1993 College World Series title game, fanning a title-game record 16 batters … majoring in management.
