HOUSTON, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana embarks on its first road trip of the season, traveling to No. 21-ranked Rice for three games over the course of the weekend.
Games in the non-conference series are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Reckling Park.
The Friday and Sunday games against the Owls (2-3) can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU 90.9 FM, online and through the TuneIn Radio app (search for KSLU). Southeastern is coming off an 8-5 win Tuesday over Tulane.

Taylor Schwaner (.545) and
Jacob Seward (.300) lead Southeastern at the plate.

The Owls' pitching staff enters the series with a 4.39 ERA, having fanned 51 batters in 41 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .219 off Rice pitching.
Dominic DiCaprio (.417), Charlie Warren (.364) and Robbie Lammons (.364) lead the Owls at the plate. Rice is hitting .241 as a team, with six doubles, one home run and one stolen base.
The Owls dropped an 8-4 decision to Dallas Baptist in their home opener Tuesday evening.
Southeastern continues its 8-game road trip this coming week, traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, for pair of games at No. 6-ranked Vanderbilt, Tuesday and Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The Lions face South Alabama, Troy and Seton Hall in the round-robin Cox Diamond Invitational March 3-5 in Pensacola, Florida.
