Southeastern heads on the road coming off its best effort of 2016-17, as the Lady Lions defeated Bethune-Cookman, 75-63, last Friday in the University Center. SLU netted a season-high 13 three-point field goals and forced the visiting Wildcats into 26 turnovers in the victory.
Eight of the team's treys were hit by junior

The point total by Underwood on Friday was the highest in a single game by a Southeastern player since Dacia McGowan scored 35 at Nicholls on Feb. 2, 2005.
Underwood was joined in double figures by freshman teammate
Taz Stinson, who chipped in a season-high 13 points. Junior
Bre Warren and sophomore
Ashailee Brailey paced the SLU defensive effort with three steals apiece.
The Lady Lions enter Wednesday's contest averaging 58.2 points per contest. Underwood leads the team with 20.0 points per game, followed by Stinson (6.6 ppg), freshman
Tyler Morrison (6.3 ppg), Warren (5.6 ppg) and Brailey (5.4 ppg). Morrison is the team's top distributor with 4.0 assists per contest.
Friday's game marked the first time this season that Southeastern out-rebounded an opponent. The Lady Lions are averaging 33.6 rebounds per game and enters Wednesday's game with a minus-10.2 rebounding margin. Morrison leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per contest.
Defensively, SLU is allowing 77.6 points and forcing 21.2 turnovers per contest. Morrison has a team-high 3.0 steals per contest.
Southeastern will be facing a Colorado team that has won its first six contests of 2016-17. The Lady Buffaloes have opened the campaign with victories over Northern Colorado (83-62), Air Force (95-68), Kentucky (79-69), North Dakota State (76-59), St. Francis Brooklyn (81-54) and SMU (67-50).
CU features a balanced offense, as Kennedy Leonard paces a quartet of double-digit scorers with 17.7 points per contest. Monica Burich leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game, while Leonard has a team-high 7.0 assists per game.
Colorado, a member of the Pac-12 Conference, will be the third Power 5 team Southeastern has faced in the first month of the season. The Lady Lions have previously lost to Ole Miss and No. 5 Baylor. Southeastern is slated to face Florida on Dec. 28.
Southeastern and Colorado will be meeting for the first time in school history. The Lady Buffaloes will be the first current member of the Pac-12 who the Lady Lions have ever faced.
Wednesday's game will be the start of a two-game trip for the Lady Lions in Colorado. On Friday, SLU will face Colorado State in an 8 p.m. (CST) contest in Fort Collins, Colorado. Friday's game will be broadcast live in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9), online at
