HAMMOND, La. – The reigning Southland Conference Tournament regular season champion Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team will host its final tune-up for the 2025-26 season, welcoming Millsaps for a 6 p.m. exhibition Tuesday in the University Center.
 
First-year head coach Jeff Dow's roster features 13 newcomers. Senior wing Mackenzie Lewis-Thomas is the lone returner from last season's Southeastern squad.
 
While Dow's roster will be new to the green and gold faithful, the Lady Lion roster is not without collegiate experience. Six of the Lady Lions came to Hammond with Division I experience, while four others join from the NAIA or junior college ranks.
 
Freshman Mia Ramos and junior Fatime Seck will be Tuesday's Spotlight Players of the Game. The first 150 fans in attendance will receive trading cards featuring Ramos and Seck, courtesy of PRIDE.
 
Millsaps will be coming to the University Center for the second straight season, as SLU earned a 79-45 over the Majors in last season's season opener. Millsaps finished 22-5 a season ago and won the Southern Athletic Association regular season championship.

Southeastern will officially open the 2025-26 season Nov. 3, hosting Centenary at 11 a.m. in the University Center. The season opener will be televised on ESPN+. Lihi Azouri will be Nov. 3's Spotlight Player of the Game and the first 150 fans in attendance will receive a trading card featuring the Herzliya, Gush Dan, Israel native, courtesy of
PRIDE.
