HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team faces a busy upcoming week of three Southland Conference matches, beginning with Tuesday's 7 p.m. Dig Pink match against rival Nicholls at the University Center.
Southeastern (2-15, 1-3 Southland) also faces road matches Thursday at Central Arkansas (6 p.m.) and Saturday at Northwestern State (1 p.m.)
Admission to Tuesday's Dig Pink match is free. Fans should enter the arena upstairs at Gate 3. Volleyball posters and magnet schedules will be available in the Fan Zone, and students can earn points toward their LionUp Loyalty account by checking in on the app while in attendance.
The Lady Lion volleyball team will be showing its support for breast cancer awareness. Fans and students are encouraged to wear pink to the arena, and at the same time work together to build breast cancer awareness within local and surrounding communities. The team will be selling Pink Links for $1 to raise money.

Southeastern (2-14, 1-2 Southland) dropped a hard-fought Southland match in five sets Saturday against New Orleans.
Chloee Holden (2.08 kills per set), a freshman from Alvin, Texas,
Elyssa Purcell (1.98 k/set, 3.95 assists per set), a redshirt freshman also from Alvin, and
Parrie Hartley (1.81 k/set), a senior from Columbus, Texas, pace the Lady Lion offense with a helping hand from
Haley Baker (5.00 a/set), a sophomore from Elkton, Maryland.
Rachael Bunn (0.66 blocks per set), a senior from San Juan Capistrano, California, and
Savannah Alcazar (0.46 b/set), a freshman from League City, Texas, are the team's top blocking threats. Bunn is fifth in both block assists (252) and total blocks (288) on Southeastern's career list.
Monica Ramon (3.68 d/set), a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas,
Madi Odom (2.77 d/set), a senior from Kingwood, Texas,
Macey Stock (2.29 d/set), a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Purcell (2.24 d/set) anchor the defense along the back line.
Purcell ranks third nationally with five triple-doubles this season.
Nicholls (5-16, 0-5 Southland) dropped a conference match Saturday in straight sets to Abilene Christian.
The Colonels' offensive attack is led by Kali Schwartz (2.15 k/set), Kaci Eaton (2.03 k/set) and a trio of setters.
Emily Weimer (0.68 b/set) and Sydney Lerille (0.60 b/set) are the team's top blocking threats, while Alexa Perry (4.06 d/set) leads the defensive effort along the back line.
Central Arkansas (8-11, 2-5 Southland) has dropped its last four matches, all in conference play.
Haley Tippett (2.67 k/set), Samantha Anderson (2.55 k/set), Megan Nash (2.18 k/set) and Elizabeth Armstrong (8.41 a/set) lead the Sugar Bear offense.
Savannah Allen (1.12 b/set), Nash (1.04 b/set), Anderson (0.89 b/set) and Nicole Peters (0.85 b/set) make up one of the top blocking squads in the conference.
Amanda Dimon (3.30 d/set) and Tippett (3.11 d/set) are Central Arkansas' top defenders along the back line.
Northwestern State (10-12, 5-2 Southland) defeated Lamar in five sets Saturday.
Alexis Warren (2.98 k/set) and Lauren Agan (2.36 k/set) lead the Lady Demons' attack under the direction of setter Natalie Jaeger (8.92 a/set).
Kourtney Seaton (0.85 b/set), Madeline Drake (0.78 b/set) and Abby Gardea (0.67 b/set) lead the blocking efforts at the net, while Channing Burleson ranks third in the conference in digs (4.99 d/set).
Southeastern will return to the University Center Oct. 18 for Smoot Fever Night against McNeese.
