HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Volleyball team will host UL Lafayette in the University Center at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, ending SLU's five-match homestand.
 
Southeastern (3-6) will host the Ragin' Cajuns (3-6) for a rematch after the two teams met at the beginning of September. UL Lafayette won the previous matchup in a four-set contest in Lafayette, La. Tuesday's match will be televised on ESPN+.
 
Tuesday's 6:30 p.m. matchup will be Dig the Lions night at the University Center. The first 100 students to arrive will receive a free T-shirt and food.
 
After going 2-1 over the weekend during the Southeastern Showdown, with wins over Texas Southern and Charlotte, the Lions will look to get back in the win column after the team competed well in a loss to LSU on the final day of the tournament.
 
Kyra McKelvey has remained one of the most productive offensive players in the Southland Conference. McKelvey, who has posted seven consecutive games with double-digit kills, has the third-most kills (113) in the SLC, along with the fifth-most points (126) in the league. Ashley Richardson has established herself as one of the top setters in the conference, averaging 7.97 assists per set, the fourth-best rate in the Southland. Ainsley Driska (27) and Keira Beverly (26) lead the Lions in total blocks this season. Audrey Vielguth remains the Lions' leader in digs, tallying 89 through nine matches.
 
UL Lafayette competed at the Florida A&M Tournament last weekend, going 1-2 in the three-match slate. Lolo Lambert has totaled 98 kills through the team's nine contests, ranking 10^th among all players in the Sun Belt Conference. Rhyan Miciotto ranks seventh in the SBC in total assists (188) and total service aces (15). Ragin' Cajun Kennedy Gustafson has averaged 3.86 digs per set, placing eighth in the Sun Belt.
 
The Lions will depart Hammond, America, after Tuesday to compete in The Rebel Challenge in Las Vegas, Nev. this weekend. SLU will take on UC Irvine (1-8) and UNLV (1-7) Friday, before closing the tourney against UC San Diego (3-6) Saturday. Live stats for the matches against UC Irvine and UC San Diego will be available on the volleyball schedule page on www.LionSports.net. The matchup against UNLV will be televised on Mountain West+.
