HAMMOND, La. – The Southland Conference-leading Southeastern Louisiana baseball team hosts Northwestern State Thursday through Saturday in a matchup of the conference's top two teams.
Game times are scheduled for 6 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
Friday's game is Light It Up Blue for Autism Awareness with all fans and students encouraged to wear blue to "light it up blue" for Autism awareness. Partners from SOAR and Autism Answers of Louisiana will be in attendance to raise awareness during the game. Baseball players will wear puzzle-piece ribbons.
It is also a $5 Friday. All adult general admission tickets are only $5. Along with the reduced ticket price, the concession stand will offer a combo special for $5.
Saturday's series finale will feature Bingo at the Ballpark. Baseball-themed bingo cards will be given out to all fans and students. Prizes will be awarded to the first 20 players with bingo. The first player to produce an "S" on their bingo card will receive $100.

Despite having their seven-game winning streak snapped last time out, the Lions picked up a series victory over Nicholls State this past weekend.

Brett Hoffman (.333) lead Southeastern at the plate. Carr's batting average is the fourth-highest in the Southland. Midyett's six home runs, 27 runs scored, .594 slugging percentage and .477 on-base percentage all lead the conference. His batting average is fifth.
Ryan Byers owns a team-best 23 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.
The Lions are hitting a Southland-best .304 as a team and have been successful on 44-of-60 stolen base attempts, also tops in the conference. Southeastern is seventh nationally in walks (144), eighth in hits (311) and 10th in on-base percentage (.408). The pitching staff has compiled a 3.84 ERA, fanning 256 batters in 262.1 innings pitched.
Tate Scioneaux (5-1, 4.28), a junior right-hander from Reserve, Louisiana, draws the series opening nod for the Lions. He matches up with fellow righty Adam Oller (4-1, 2.09) for the Demons.
The Lions will send junior right-hander
Jake Johnson (5-0, 1.86) to the mound on Friday against Northwestern State right-hander Josh Oller (5-0, 4.15).
Southpaw
Kyle Cedotal (3-2, 1.74), a junior from Denham Springs, Louisiana, draws the starting nod for Southeastern in Saturday's series finale against Demon right-hander Jeffrey Stovall (3-2, 4.14).
Chase Daughdrill (.346) and Cort Brinson (.300) lead Northwestern State at the plate. Brinson's three home runs and 22 RBIs are both team highs. Nick Heath leads the Southland with 16 stolen bases.
The Demons are hitting .261 as a team and have been successful on 28-of-41 stolen base attempts. The pitching staff has compiled a 3.37 ERA, fanning 164 batters in 248.2 innings pitched.
Northwestern State took 2-of-3 from McNeese State this past weekend.
Southeastern returns to action Tuesday at 6 p.m. against South Alabama for Military Appreciation Night at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
