HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will be back in action on Friday, traveling to Abilene Christian for a Southland Conference match in Abilene, Texas.
First serve for Friday's match between the Lions (8-3, 3-2 Southland) and the host Wildcats (6-2, 2-2 Southland) is set for 12 p.m.
Southeastern will look to get back on the winning side of the ledger, after closing a four-match home stand with a hard-fought 5-2 loss to defending league champion Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday. In the loss, SLU junior

Madina Vorotnikova remained undefeated in Southland singles play.
Villarreal (11-0, 5-0 Southland) has not lost a singles match this spring, running her SLU career singles mark to 49-4. Vorotnikova (9-1, 5-0 Southland) has won her last eight singles matches, while freshmen
Dany Raygadas (8-2, 4-1 Southalnd) and
Lucia Bustamante (8-3, 3-2 Southland) each boast winning singles records.

Margaux Kaltenbacher are 2-0 at No. 2 doubles, while the pair of Villarreal and Bustamante are 2-1 on the No. 1 court. At No. 3, Vorotnikova and freshman

Every ACU singles starter has a winning singles record, including junior Nada Marjanovic, who is a perfect 5-0 in singles play. In doubles play, junior Kaysie Hermsdorf and senior Brittney Reed are 6-1 at No. 1, while freshman Lucile Pothier and sophomore Erin Walker have 4-0 doubles marks.
Friday's match is the first of three straight away from home for SLU. The Lions will be in Jackson, Mississippi on Monday to face Jackson State at 6 p.m.
