HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team returns to the University Center for six of its final seven regular-season matches, hosting Nicholls Thursday at 7 p.m. and McNeese State Saturday at 2 p.m. in a pair of Southland Conference contests.
Thursday's match against Nicholls is the team's Halloween costume night for Southeastern students. Three winners will be chosen in the halftime contest. Saturday is the Cub Club's Halloween celebration.
Admission to all home volleyball matches is free this season. Southeastern students and campus organizations can earn points toward their new Lion Up Loyalty account at both matches just by checking-in on the mobile app while in attendance.

Southeastern (10-13, 4-5 Southland) has dropped its last two matches and currently sits in eighth place in the conference standings. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams advance to the Southland Conference Tournament to be held Nov. 20-22 in Conway, Arkansas.
Landry Bullock (3.00 kills per set),
Sarah Friedman (2.40 k/set) and
Parrie Hartley (2.04 k/set) pace the Lady Lion offense this season under the direction of
Mikayla Shippy (6.29 a/set) and
Haley Baker (5.38 assists per set). Bullock ranks 10th in the conference in kills. Freshman
Monica Ramon leads the team with 25 service aces.
Brooke Balser (3.61 d/set), Ramon (2.54 digs per set) and
Madi Odom (2.08 d/set) anchor the back row defensively. Balser's average ranks eighth in the conference.
Veronica Turk (0.68 b/set) and
Rachael Bunn (0.59 b/set) lead Southeastern's front-line defensive effort.
Nicholls (6-16, 1-9 Southland) snapped a nine-match losing streak its last time out, defeating Abilene Christian in four sets.
Kaci Eaton (3.85 k/set), Kayla Mashburn (2.92 k/set), Anna Niederhauser (2.78 k/set) and Alyse Barclay (7.39 a/set) lead the Colonels' offensive attack. Niederhasuer leads the squad with 26 service aces.
Emily Weimer (0.64 b/set), Sydney Lerille (0.59 b/set) and Kali Schwartz (0.51 b/set) are the club's top blockers. Stephanie Tobison (3.76 d/set) and Niederhauser (3.07 d/set) are Nicholls' top defenders along the back row.
McNeese (10-15, 5-5 Southland), which travels to the University of New Orleans for a Thursday conference match, has dropped back-to-back matches following five-consecutive victories.
Malina Sanchez (3.01 k/set), Rae Myers (2.21 k/set) and Kelly Graham (9.13 a/set) pace the Cowgirl offense. Monica Hudgins (0.86 b/set), Amber Fryer (0.68 b/set) and Ebony Lewis (0.66 b/set) are McNeese's top blockers. Bridget Justis (4.16 d/set) leads the squad in digs.
Southeastern continues with its five-match homestand next week, hosting New Orleans (Nov. 3), Sam Houston State (Nov. 5) and Lamar (Nov. 7).
