HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's soccer team will close out the regular season with a pair of Southland Conference matches this week.
The Lady Lions (12-5, 5-4 Southland) enter the final two matches needing a win or tie to secure one of the six spots in next week's Southland Conference Tournament in Beaumont, Texas.
Southeastern will open the week by closing its home schedule on Friday, hosting Nicholls (8-8, 4-5 Southland) at 3 p.m. at the Southeastern Soccer Complex. Friday's home finale will also be dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness.
On Sunday, SLU heads to Houston Baptist (7-6-3, 6-1-2 Southland) on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match. For Friday's match, fans can receive live updates via Twitter by following @SLUAthletics and @SLUSoccer. On Sunday, live stats, provided by HBU, will be accessible at LionSports.net.

th) are among the highest in school history and she is currently tied for eighth on the program's career list for all-time goals. Noonan is tied for fourth on the school's single-season assists list.

On Friday, Southeastern will be facing a Nicholls team that is also fighting to earn a tournament spot. Juniors Jess Coates and Spencer Valdespino share the team lead with five goals, while Coates also leads the team with six assists. Sophomore Taylor Mosley has handled the majority of the work in the net and enters the match with a 1.76 goals against average.
Southeastern is 22-0-1 all-time versus the Colonels. Last season, the teams battled to a 1-1 tie in Thibodaux.
On Sunday, the Lady Lions will face an HBU team that has already clinched a spot in the league tournament. Senior Natalie Hager leads the team with six goals, while junior Rebekah Tovar has a team-high four assists. Senior Patty Walrath has been the Huskies' primary goalkeeper with a 0.98 goals against average.
Southeastern is 0-1-1 all-time versus Houston Baptist. Last season, the match finished in a 1-1 stalemate in Hammond.
