HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team returns to action Saturday at the University Center, hosting the University of New Orleans at 2 p.m. in a Southland Conference contest to wrap up a three-match homestand.
Southeastern (6-11, 3-2 Southland) defeated UNO (6-14, 0-6 Southland), 25-23, 25-13, 27-25, earlier this season in New Orleans.

Parrie Hartley (2.49 kills per set),
Tiffany Thomas (2.25 k/set),
Veronica Turk (2.02 k/set) and
Mikayla Shippy (9.19 assists per set) are leading the way for Southeastern offensively. Shippy's assist numbers place her sixth in the conference.
Rachael Bunn is the team leader in blocks (0.92 b/set) and
Morgan Todd is fifth in the Southland with 4.98 digs per set.
Southeastern is coming off a four-set win over McNeese State, in a Southland contest, this past Tuesday.
Led by a career-high 18 kills from sophomore
Landry Bullock, Southeastern's offense got stronger as the McNeese contest wore on. Bullock (.410 attack percentage), Turk (15 kills, .355), Hartley (12 kills) and Shippy (53 assists) paced a Lady Lion offense that hit at a .278 clip. Shippy tied a season high in assists, falling three shy of setting a career best.
Todd recorded 23 digs to anchor the back row.
Brooke Balser and
Kacey Freeman each chipped in 12 against McNeese, with Freeman tying a career high.
The Privateers have dropped three-consecutive matches since defeating Alcorn State, Sept. 30, in three sets.
Cara Sander (2.75 k/set), Mikayla Sellers-Wiebe (2.30 k/set) and Sara Hammoutene (7.97 a/set) are the driving forces behind UNO's offensive attack. The Privateers' top defenders are Rondolyn Bryant (0.79 b/set), Celeste Ramirez (3.29 d/set), Sellers-Wiebe (2.47 d/set) and Lauren Levy (2.28 d/set).
Following the match, Southeastern will play its next two contests on the road before returning home to host Incarnate Word, Oct. 23, at the University Center.
