HAMMOND – After helping the Southland Conference champion Southeastern Louisiana football team close out the regular season with a 52-27 victory over Nicholls State, Lion senior kicker
Seth Sebastian was named the National Special Teams Player of the Week by the Sports Network, TSN announced on Monday.
The honor was the third of the week for the Lafayette native, as earlier in the day he was named the Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. On Sunday, he was named the National Placekicker of the Week by College Football Performance Awards.
Sebastian was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals, connecting on a season-long 46-yard field goal, as well as 37 and 27 yard tries. He was also perfect on four point after touchdown tries.
Thursday's performance capped the greatest regular season ever by a Lion kicker. Sebastian heads into the playoffs 14-for-14 on field goals and 61-of-62 on point after attempts with his only miss coming on a block. He set new school career (278 points) and single-season (103 points) scoring records with his 14 points on Thursday.
Sebastian and the Lions were awarded the No. 4 national seed and a first round bye in the NCAA Division I Football Championship. The Lions will host either Sam Houston State or Southern Utah on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium in a second round contest.

Dakota St. and Galloway Dr. Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, as well as 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Friday. During Thanksgiving week, the ticket office will be closed Wednesday through Friday.
Reserved chair back tickets for all Southeastern home playoff games are priced at $35.00, while reserved bench seats can be purchased for $25.00. Youth tickets (ages 17 and under) will be available for $15.00 The NCAA does not allow Southeastern students to receive free admission and student tickets will be available for $10.00. Students can only buy one ticket apiece and only students may sit in the student section. 500 tickets will be made available to the visiting team. In the event of a sellout, 400 standing room only tickets will be made available at $15.00 as well.
All first and second round games will be televised exclusively on ESPN3. Southeastern's Dec. 7 game will also air on KSLU 90.9 FM, the flagship station of the Southeastern Sports Radio Network, as well as Northshore Broadcasting stations Kajun 107.1 FM and The Joint 104.7 FM.
