HAMMOND, La. – The No. 22 Southeastern Louisiana University football team will return to action Saturday, hosting Northwestern State for the 4 p.m. Homecoming contest in Strawberry Stadium.

The game versus the Lions (4-2, 2-0 SLC) and the visiting Demons (1-5, 0-2 SLC) will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).

The Homecoming parade will roll at 11:30 a.m. and the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at halftime.

Southeastern is coming off a bye last weekend following a 38-0 victory over McNeese. SLU's 4-0 record in FCS games this fall allowed the Lions to crack the AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25, marking the first time since 2023 Southeastern has been nationally ranked. The Lions outgained McNeese, 418-189, on the way to handing the Cowboys the most lopsided shutout at home in program history.

SLU is averaging 32.3 points and 393.7 yards per game, including 46.0 points per game versus FCS competition. Carson Camp (65-for-97, 832 yards, 7 TD, 2 INT) and Kyle Lowe (36-for-53, 478 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT) have split time at quarterback for the Lions.

Jaylon Domingeaux (22 catches, 312 yards, 5 TD) is Camp and Lowe's top target. Lowe leads the team with 280 rushing yards and four touchdowns, while Calvin Smith Jr. (211 yards), Jaedon Henry (189-3 TD) and Deantre Jackson (189-3 TD) have also fueled the SLU rushing attack.

Opponents are averaging 23.0 points and 332.0 yards per contest versus the SLU defense, while Southeastern is yielding 14.5 points per game. KK Reno leads the Lions with 54 tackles, while FCS Midseason All-American Kaleb Proctor paces the team with six tackles for loss and four sacks.

Ian Conerly-Goodly and Khamron Ford share team-high honors with two interceptions apiece.

Northwestern will be looking to snap a five-game losing streak when it heads to Hammond. The Demons saw their rally fall just short in a 20-17 loss at HCU Saturday.

The Demons are averaging 208.5 yards and 11.8 points per game on offense. Abram Johnston (63-for-119, 537 yards, 5 TD, 6 INT) has handled the majority of the work under center, while Mylon Hicks (217 yards) has been the top performer in the run game for NSU.

Opponents are averaging 38.8 points and 455.8 yards per contest versus Northwestern State. The Demon defense is led by Fernando Washington (50 tackles, 5.5 TFL).

Saturday will be the 70th all-time meeting between SLU and NSU, as the Lions have faced Northwestern State more than any other opponent. Southeastern leads the all-time series, 40-29, and has won the last 14 meetings with the Demons.

Following Homecoming, Southeastern will be back on the road next Saturday for a 2 p.m. Southland Conference contest at HCU. The game will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
