"Give them (SHSU) all the credit in the world," Southeastern head coach
Jay Artigues said. "They did a super job. They came out swinging the bats and were very aggressive. Every mistake we made, they capitalized on it."
SHSU took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Ryan Mooney led off with a single, moved to second on an error and scored on Chris Andreas' single. The Bearkats added three runs in the second off Southeastern starter
Tyler Watkins (10-4), highlighted by a two-run triple by Luke Plucheck before Daniel Nottebart scored on Olsen's RBI single in the third to give SHSU a 5-0 lead.
