2011 (Junior): Hit .289 for the season with three home runs and 27 RBI in 56 games (54 starts) … earned 40 starts in right field and 14 as the designated hitter … second on the team in doubles (12), third in home runs (3) and fourth in HBP (12) … fifth on the team in walks (23), on-base percentage (.401) and slugging percentage (.406) … hit .356 versus left-handed pitching and .427 when leading off an inning … had 14 multi-hit games … recorded four-hit games Feb. 22 against Tulane and March 13 against UTSA when he had three doubles and a home run … posted three-hit games April 19 at Tulane and May 8 against Nicholls State when he hit a double and a pair of home runs – the first multi-home run game of his career … the only Lion player with a multi-home run game in 2011 … had five multi-RBI games, including a pair of 4-RBI performances March 13 at UTSA and May 8 against Nicholls State ... recorded a nine-game hit streak April 26-May 8.

2010 (Sophomore): Hit .337 for the season with four home runs and 41 RBI … led the team in batting average (.337), walks (43) and on-base percentage (.470) and finished second in runs scored (64) … one of four players (Cass Hargis, Jeff Harkensee and Brock Hebert) to start all 59 games … had 20 multi-hit games, including 5-for-5 effort at LSU … longest hitting streak was six games but compiled separate run scoring streaks of eight and 10 consecutive games … only Lion to compile games of one, two, three, four and five hits over the course of the season … homered at Mississippi State and recorded a hit in all three games of the series … was 2-for-4 against Alabama, including a two-run home run … went 5-for-13 in the Southland Conference Tournament with a pair of doubles and scored five runs.

2009 (Freshman): Posted a .309 batting average in 46 games for Southeastern with 35 starts … earned 29 starts as the Lions’ designated hitter with six starts in right field … fifth for the Lions in on-base percentage (.401) and walks (16) … had nine multi-hit games … posted a 10-game hitting streak where he hit .500 (18-for-36) with 11 RBI … went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and two RBI against McNeese State … went 2-for-4 with an RBI in first career start against Southern … went 2-for-4 with three RBI at UTSA … went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a season-high four RBI against Jackson State … went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in series opener at Central Arkansas.

High School: Earned two letters in football and three letters in baseball at Huntsville High School ... hit .382 over four years at HHS … hit .436 as a senior for the Hornets en route to 14-5A All-District honors, helping team to third round of state playoffs.

Personal: Born in The Woodlands, Texas … the youngest of Duane and Tina Gougler's three children ... older brother, Phillip, played baseball at Sam Houston State … originally came to Southeastern as a punter on the football team … redshirted in 2008 before concentrating fully on baseball beginning in 2009 … a Sports Management major.
