Jordan Hymel will make his fourth start of the season on Tuesday at Tulane
HAMMOND – Coming off a three-game sweep in its Southland Conference opener, the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to face No. 22-ranked Tulane in a 6:30 p.m. contest at Turchin Field.

The game can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the internet at www.LionSports.net.

Southeastern (12-4) opened league play with a three-game sweep at UTSA, outscoring the Roadrunners, 24-9. After facing Tulane (11-4), Southeastern will return home to host league rival McNeese State in a three-game series beginning Friday.

Justin Boudreaux (.412-3-18) and Jonathan Pace (.406-1-13) lead Southeastern at the plate with Jeff Harkensee (.391-6-26), Cody Gougler (.370-1-10) and Cass Hargis (.324-0-10) following.

Southeastern will send southpaw Jordan Hymel (2-1, 3.00 ERA) the mound against Tulane. The sophomore pitched five innings in earning a win over Tulane on Feb. 22.

Tulane, which is 9-2 at home this season, is led at the plate by Jeremy Schaffer (.364-0-9) followed by Nick Boullosa (.280-1-8). The Green Wave have won four of their last five games that included series wins at No. 28 Ole Miss and at home against Wichita State.

Left-hander David Napoli (0-0, 1.69 ERA) is slated to make his first career start for Tulane after pitching 5.1 innings in relief in 2011.
