2010 (Junior): Hit .325 for the season with a Southland Conference-leading 27 doubles … doubles total set a Lion single-season record and placed him 10th nationally … second on team in at bats (240) and hits (78), but led team in total bases (127) … one of four players (Cody Gougler, Cass Hargis and Brock Hebert) to start all 59 games … led team with 24 multi-hit games, including seven of the season’s first nine games … went 3-for-5 against Jackson State with a pair of doubles and four RBI … had a 4-for-5 night at the plate at South Alabama with a pair of doubles, a triple and three RBI … recorded a 4-for-6 day at the plate, including a solo home run, against Texas State … went 8-for-18 in four games against Northwestern State with four doubles, a triple, a home run and eight RBI.

Junior College: Hit .363 with 20 doubles, four triples and six home runs and 46 RBI at Mesa (Ariz.) Community College … named First-Team All-ACCAC and First-Team All-Region I as a sophomore at MCC … played football as a freshman at Illinois State before concentrating on baseball full-time.

High School: A two-year letterwinner at Buffalo Grove (Ill.) High School … named All-Conference and Class 7A All-Area selection in both baseball and football … team captain in both sports.
