HAMMOND – The Southeastern baseball team wraps up fall practice this week with a three-game Fall World Series. All three games are free and open to the public.
First pitches are schedule for 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; Saturday's third game begins at noon, regardless the outcome of the first two contests.
Players split into Green and Gold teams for the series. Pitching coach
Daniel Latham is in charge of the Gold squad and volunteer assistant Kyle Maxie is in charge of the Green team.
The Gold team includes returning players
Jacob Fisher,
Michael Rutland,
Josh Janway,
Jordan Hymel,
Matt Pittari,
Adam Michel and
Stefan Lopez.
Rounding out the Gold team are newcomers Ben Hernandez, Ladd Rhodes, Kaleb Manuel, Brett Hoffman, Tanner Rainey, Stuart Holmes, Ryan Burns, Cody Rabalais, Sean Kennel and Hammond native Ryan Downing.

Jason Greenleaf.
Green newcomers include transfers Harry Slade (Baltimore, Md.) and Buck Bernard (Petal, Miss.), along with freshmen Andro Cutura, Layton Tromba, Sam Roberson, Brennen Marque, Kyle Bracey and Taylor Veillon.
Freshman Tyler Stoddard is still with the football team and will not participate in the fall series.

Jay Artigues enters his sixth season at the helm with a 201-143 record at Southeastern. The Lions face Indiana State to open the regular season Feb. 17, 2012, at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
