Biography

2011 (Junior): Hit .250 for the season … recorded hit in home opener against Tulane (Feb. 22) … appeared in eight games … drew one walk and one HBP … compiled a .500 on-base percentage.

2010 (Sophomore): Hit .316 for the season with one double and four RBI … was 5-for-13 (.385) as a pinch hitter … picked up 2 RBI with a pinch hit double against Jackson State … went 2-for-2 with one RBI and scored a run against Alcorn State … scored a run off a 1-for-1 night at the plate against Southern and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

2009 (Freshman): Appeared in 19 games behind the plate, earning 14 starts … hit .206 on the season with five RBI … went 3-for-4 with a run scored and four RBI in a win over Jackson State … went 1-for-4 with an RBI against Tulane … went 1-for-4 with two runs scored against Louisiana-Lafayette.

High School: Earned three letters in baseball at Ponchatoula High ... a three-time all-district selection ... named the 2008 district MVP, a first-team Class 5A All-State honoree and a Louisiana High School Association All-Star Game selection … hit .365 with six home runs while posting a 12-1 record on the mound as a senior for the Green Wave … coached at PHS by former Lion letterwinner and assistant coach Mark Gosnell.

Personal: Born in Huntsville, Texas … the youngest of Mike and Wendy Lucas' two sons ... Father, Mike, was the head football coach at Southeastern from 2007-2011 ... older brother, Tyler, graduated of Cornell University and played quarterback for the Big Red football team … a Sports Management major.
