2011 (Sophomore): Hit .340 for the season with 11 doubles, two home runs and 31 RBI … started all 56 games in which he played … lead the team in on-base percentage (.451), walks (28), HBP (15) stolen bases (26), stolen base percentage (.839) and multi-hit games (23) … second on the team in batting average (.340) and triples (2) … third in slugging percentage (.445), runs scored (46) and sacrifice flies (3) … hit .364 against right-handed pitching, .390 with runners on base and .468 when leading off an inning … Lions’ best hitter with runners at third and less than two outs (11 RBI in 13 chances, .846 average) … recorded three-hit games Feb. 18 at Florida International in the season opener, March 26 at Central Arkansas, April 8 at Texas-Arlington and April 30 at Sam Houston State … posted five multi-RBI games ... recorded a nine-game hit streak March 15-29.
2010 (Freshman): Hit .288 for the season with two home runs and 55 RBI …second on the team in RBI (55) … one of four players (Cody Gougler, Cass Hargis and Jeff Harkensee) to start all 59 games … tied (Joe Sparacino) with team-high 12-game hitting streak during which he hit .477, scored 15 runs and picked up 10 RBI … had 20 multi-hit games, including a 9-for-12 effort during three-game series against UT-Arlington … picked up 10 RBI over early-season, three-game stretch (Jackson State, Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas Southern) … picked up another nine RBI over three-game stretch against UTSA, Louisiana-Lafayette and McNeese State.
High School: Chosen as the District 8-5A MVP as a senior at South Terrebonne High School … earned a spot on the Class 5A All-State team … named the MVP of the Daily Comet/The Courier’s All Region team … hit .404 with 12 doubles, five triples, two home runs, 19 RBI and 21 stolen bases … helped the Gators to a 23-12 record and a berth in the Class 5A state tournament … named to the All-District team in football and soccer.
