Lady Lions Lose Hard Fought Decision At UT Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas –
Allison Jones recorded a team-high 14 kills to lead three players in double figures, but it was not enough as the Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team dropped a four-set decision (25-18, 14-25, 15-25, 25-27) at UT Arlington in a Southland Conference match Thursday at Texas Hall.

Amanda Aguilera posted a double-double with a match-high 17 kills along with a match-high 20 digs to lead UTA (13-14, 7-6 Southland). Southeastern, which will face Texas State on Saturday in San Marcos, Texas, fell to 10-20 on the season and 1-12 in the Southland Conference.

Tara Frantz and Bianca Sauls added 12 and 10 kills each for the Mavericks while Reagan Daniels recorded 41 assists and 16 digs. Alicia Shaffer added 18 digs for UTA while Sauls had 13 and Kendall Whitson 11.

Courtney Donald added 12 kills and hit .250 at the net for Southeastern while freshman Stephanie Mueller came off the bench to record 10 kills with a .360 hitting percentage. Freshman Cherish Krohn added eight kills and recorded a career-high 17 digs for the Lady Lions with Alex Greer adding 12 digs and Chelsea Barr 10.
