Biography

2008 (Junior): One of Southeastern's most consistent offensive performers, hitting .330 with four home runs and 43 RBI ... Added a .440 slugging percentage and a .426 on-base percentage ... Played in all 59 contests, making 58 starts as designated hitter and one start in left field ... Led the team with 27 walks, finished second in OBP and third in batting, slugging percentage, hits (72) and total bases (96) ... Posted 17 multi-hit games, including two four-hit games, three three-hit games and 12 two-hit games ... Recorded ten multi-RBI contests, including a pair of five RBI games and two three-RBI games ... Posted a career-best 14-game hitting streak, going 17-for-50 (.340 BA) with seven RBI and seven runs scored from Feb. 28 to March 18 ... Reached base safely in the first 20 games of the season ... Reached base safely in 54 of 59 games ... Finished the season on a seven-game hitting streak going 16-for-30 (.533 BA) with two home runs, two doubles, a triple, 12 RBI and five runs scored ... Tied a pair of SLC Tournament records at the 2008 Southland Conference Tournament, driving in 11 runs and collecting 13 hits over five games, but was not named to the All-SLC Tournament Team ... Hit .590 (13-for-22) with two homers, two doubles, a triple and five runs scored in five games ... Had the only mutli-home run game by a 2008 Lion with a pair of home runs in an SLC Tournament elimination game against Texas State on May 23, with a solo home run and a game-tying three run shot in the bottom of the ninth in the Lions' come-from-behind win ... Went 4-for-4 with five RBI and three runs against the Bobcats on May 23 and went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in an elimination game against Lamar that same day.

Junior College: Spent 2006-07 at Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Fla. ... Captained the 2007 Junior College World Series Champions and hit .367 for the Indians en route to the title ... Was an all-conference honoree and was named All-State Tournament Team.
