2024 Southland Conference Hitter of the Week (March 4)

2024 [JUNIOR]: Played in 41 games, starting 30 … produced a slash line of .318 / .729 / .448, going 34-for-107 at the plate with eight doubles and 12 home runs … second on the team and eighth in the conference in home runs …  drove in 35 runs and scored another 36 for the Lions … drew 22 walks, hit by four pitches and struck out 41 times … stole six bases in six attempts … turned in nine multi-hit performances … third on the squad with 10 multi-RBI games, including a season-high five at UIW (5/11) … named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Week (3/4) following a week in which he went 7-for-15 (.467) at the plate with one double and a pair of home runs ... he also scored five runs and drove in nine during that five-game stretch against Xavier of Louisiana, Mississippi Valley State, Cal State Fullerton, Purdue and No. 11-ranked East Carolina … homered in the season opener against Tarleton State (2/16) … also knocked home runs against UAB (2/25), twice against Mississippi Valley State (2/28), New Orleans (5/4), UIW (5/11 and 5/12), both games of a doubleheader against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (5/16), twice against New Orleans (5/22) and once against Nicholls (5/23) … he blasted eight home runs during the month of May with his final three coming in the Southland Conference Tournament … carries a seven-game hitting streak into the 2025 season … member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO SLU: Lettered two seasons at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona … twice named Academic All-American … earned Second-Team All-Conference honors … played in all 49 games while slashing .324 / .472 / .669 with 11 doubles, eight triples and eight home runs … scored 49 runs and drove in another 33 … led the team in walks (39) and stolen bases (30), along with runs scored, triples and on-base percentage … played summer ball for the Kamloops NorthPaws of the West Coast League … saw action in 50 games as a freshman for the Roughriders … led the team in steals with 20 while scoring 29 runs.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from GW Graham Secondary School … played basketball and soccer in high school … won the Provincial Championship in basketball … played baseball for coach Scott Pankratz and the Chilliwack Cougars of the British Columbia Minor Baseball Association … named baseball team MVP … captain of both the basketball (2019) and baseball (2019 and 2020) teams.
