EDINBURG, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team lost the second game of its three-game road trip against UTRGV in a 78-65 decision.
SLU (2-13, 1-7 in SLC) competed against UTRGV (9-8, 6-2) Thursday. After the Lady Lions ended the first quarter up by two, the Vaqueros took charge in the second quarter to take the lead for the rest of the game.
Mia Ramos scored a season-high 17 points to lead Southeastern, eight of which came in the final minutes of the contest to help the team end the game with 14 unanswered points.
Natalie Huff was next on the team with 15 points, scoring 11 in the first quarter with a go-ahead make at the buzzer.
Erynn Williams also reached a double-digit scoring mark with 10 points.
Huff's five steals led all players in Thursday's game, contributing to SLU's 13-10 steals advantage in the game. Ramos had four swipes, while

Eryn McKinzie (2), and Williams (2) each added to the total.
Charlotte O'Keefe was the most dominant player Thursday, scoring 22 points and bringing in 22 rebounds to lead the game in both categories. O'Keefe played the first 35 minutes of the game before checking out with a significant lead. Southland Conference Player of the Week Jalayah Ingram notched 19 points in the game, dishing a game-high seven assists as well.
Southeastern will end its road trip with a visit to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2-13, 1-7) Saturday, at 1:00 p.m., in Corpus Christi, Texas. The game will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on KSLU 90.9 The Lion, online at either
