MOBILE, Ala. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team closed its four-match road swing to open the spring portion of its 2021-22 schedule with a pair of losses this weekend at the Bruce Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.
With multiple starters out with injuries, SLU (0-4) dropped a pair of 4-0 decisions this week, falling to South Alabama Friday and Alabama State Saturday.
In both matches, Southeastern dropped the doubles point. Both South Alabama and Alabama State clinched the match with victories on the bottom three singles courts.
In Saturday's match versus Alabama State,
Putri Insani and
Polina Sleptsova were up a set on courts 1 and 2 in singles play.
Southeastern will make its home debut Tuesday, hosting Alcorn State for a 2 p.m. match at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
