COMMERCE, Texas- The Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team took on Texas A&M Commerce on Sunday afternoon and took home their second tie of the weekend.
 
Southeastern (4-4-2, 2-2-2 SLC) and Texas A&M (4-6-1, 4-2 SLC) tied 0-0 at Lion Field in Commerce, Texas Sunday afternoon.
 
The first half remained scoreless as both Southeastern and Texas A&M Commerce each had some close calls when it came to getting a shot on goal, but neither team was successful in completing to get a score on the board. Southeastern's Nicole O'Neil had a shot within the first five minutes of the match that went towards the bottom of center of the net, saved by Commerce's Jen Peters.
 
Commerce would answer with their own attempt, Mya Mitchell kicked it in the 10th minute towards the left corner of the net but was saved by Olivia Griffin.  Mindy Shoffit attempted a kick at the bottom right of the net in the 27^th minute of the half, but again would be saved by Griffin.
 
Mya Guillory had a point-blank shot in the box and kicked the ball towards the middle of the net, hoping to put one up for Southeastern in the 22^nd minute of the second half but was saved by Peters.
 
Guillory led the Lady Lions with three shots and one shot on goal. Griffin had five saves to add to her repertoire for the season. Peters had two saves. Christina Hernandez led Texas A&M Commerce with three shots and one shot on goal.  
 
Southeastern will return home for another conference match up versus Texas A&M Corpus Christi Friday Oct. 14^th at 7 p.m. It will be streamed on ESPN+.
