THIBODAUX, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team defeated Nicholls 2-0 Friday night on the road.
Southeastern was able to score a pair of goals against the Lady Colonels and bring home the victory after losing 2-0 to HCU on Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Lions (6-5-3, 4-3-3 SLC) started off quick with several shots made by
Hailie Yoder,
Halli Roe and
Mya Guillory within the first 10 minutes of the match.
Sara Bancevic was able to get a shot on goal in the 21
st minute of the match.
Emma Ramsey would be the one to get the first goal on the board in the 42
nd minute of the match right before the end of the half with an assist by
Emma Jones.
Kelsey Fuller would land the second goal in the 59
th minute of the match with an assist by
Haylli Roe bringing up the score 2-0 against Nicholls.
Southeastern would end the match with a two-goal margin.
Olivia Griffin would end the night with four saves while Ramsey led the Lady Lions with five shots and three shots on goal.
SLU will be playing at home Sunday at 5 p.m. against McNeese for Senior Day. The match will be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats can be accessed on LionSports.net.
