HAMMOND, La. – Teams split a pair of intrasquad scrimmages Sunday evening at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field as Southeastern Louisiana made up for a weekend practice lost to weather.

Will Warren (1-0) earned the win, logging three scoreless innings. The junior right-hander allowed one hit and did not walk a batter, striking out four. Backed by two innings from freshman Cam Gauthier in which he surrendered one unearned run, GATA built a 7-1 lead. Junior southpaw Brock Batty (0-1), a transfer from UL Lafayette, suffered the loss after allowing eight runs – only two were earned – in 3.2 innings pitched.
Joe Delaney, a freshman outfielder from Destrehan, Louisiana, led Mamba at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance, two RBIs and a run scored. Also picking up hits for Mamba were

In Game 2 of the doubleheader, Mamba (4-5) wiped out an early deficit and held on for a 5-1 win. Hammond native
Kenneth Bell, III led the way at the plate with a 3-for-4 performance. Artigues (2-for-5) and
Eli Johnson (2-for-4) also picked up multiple hits in the winning effort.
Grant Upton (1-0) earned the win, allowing one run in four innings of work. He scattered three hits and two walks, striking out six batters. Cole Hoskins, a senior transfer Grand Canyon, picked up his first save. The right-hander worked two perfect innings, striking out three. Harrison Haley (0-2), a junior transfer from Hinds CC, suffered the loss after allowing three runs – two earned – in four innings of relief. Also logging scoreless outings in the scrimmage were Antonio Buckley (3.0 IP), Stuprich (2.0 IP) and Sebastian Bentz (1.1 IP).
