2021 [JUNIOR]: Member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll ... appeared in two games, earning starts in both before suffering a season-ending injury … compiled a 1-1 W-L record with a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings pitched … allowed four hits and seven walks, striking out 12 batters … opponents hit .148 off the right-hander … threw one wild pitch … earned the win against Mississippi Valley State (Feb. 21), tossing 5.1 innings and striking out nine batters without allowing a hit or a run.

2020 [SOPHOMORE]: Appeared in four games, starting each during pandemic-shortened season ... compiled a 1-1 record to go along with a 1.46 ERA ... surrendered 21 hits and just six walks in a team-high 24.2 innings pitched ... struck out 17 batters, hitting one ... held opponents to a .228 batting average ... earned the win against Jacksonville (2/22) ... tossed a career-high 8.0 innings against Stony Brook (2/29) ... struck out a career-high five batters at Central Arkansas (3/7) ... ranked second on the team in ERA and third in strikeouts ... ranked fifth in the Southland Conference in ERA and ninth in innings pitched ... ranked 110th nationally in ERA.

2019 [FRESHMAN]: Key member of the Lions’ bullpen … appeared in 22 games, all in relief … compiled a 1-0 record with one save and a 5.09 ERA in 23.0 innings pitched … struck out 25 batters, walking just six … allowed 24 hits as opponents hit .276 off the right-hander … earned his first collegiate win in the series opener against Northwestern State (April 12) … logged 14 scoreless outings, including a career-high three innings pitched against ULM (March 5) … member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball and football at University Lab School … Perfect Game HS All-American … went 9-1 a senior with a 1.49 ERA in 65.2 innings pitched … struck out 78 and walked just 10 batters … allowed only 47 hits … earned All-State and All-District honors … holds school record for strikeouts.
 
PERSONAL: Born Grant Cordell Upton in Baton Rouge, Louisiana … son of Brent and Mary Upton … has three younger siblings, Ansley, Mary Claire and James Wilson … enjoys bowling, hunting and fishing … majoring in finance.
