HAMMOND, La. – A total of 30 members of the Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics family were among the 1,084 graduates who had degrees conferred at Fall 2020 commencement ceremonies held Tuesday and Wednesday at Strawberry Stadium.
 
Among the Lion and Lady Lion graduates were 26 student-athletes. Football led the department with 13 graduates.
 
The track and field program was next with seven, followed by baseball and women's basketball with two apiece. Jodi Edo (volleyball), Charles Glorioso (golf), Ali McCoy (softball) and Yasmine Taylor (tennis) were all the lone representatives from their respective programs.
 
In addition, four members of the SLU Athletics support staff received degrees. The Fall semester marked the seventh consecutive semester in which Lion and Lady Lion student-athletes posted a department-wide grade point average of 3.0 or higher, as Southeastern's student-athletes combined for a 3.16 semester GPA.
