HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball and golf teams compete in the Southland Conference Championships, the baseball and softball teams host key Southland Conference series sponsored by North Oaks Health System and the track teams will be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Southeastern beach volleyball team (15-14) will be the No. 2 seed at this week's SLC Championships in Corpus Christi, Texas. The double-elimination tournament opens Wednesday with SLU facing seventh-seeded Nicholls at 11 a.m. The tournament runs through Friday with the winner earning the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Championships.
 
The SLU men's golf team will also compete in the Southland Championships this week. The Lions will be part on an eight-team field competing Monday through Wednesday at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas. The winner earns an NCAA Championship berth in addition to hoisting the league championship trophy.
 
The reigning SLC regular season champion Lion baseball team (24-17, 13-8 SLC) enters a busy week a game out of the league lead. SLU welcomes Alcorn State Wednesday at 6 p.m. for Greek Night. North Oaks Health System will sponsor the series versus HCU, which opens Friday at 6 p.m., continues Saturday at 6 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
Each Friday Funday at the Pat during the season will features fans 12 and under receiving the opportunity to stand with their favorite Lion during the national anthem. Each Saturday will feature Bingo at the Ballpark, while every Sunday will be Military Appreciation Day.
 
The 2026 Southland regular season champion and two-time reigning SLC Tournament champion Southeastern softball team (41-11, 22-2 SLC) closes its nonconference regular season schedule Tuesday with a 5 p.m. contest versus Alcorn State. La Capitol Federal Credit Union will be Tuesday's game sponsor and will offer a free giveaway to the first 100 fans. SLU will also be presented the Southland Conference championship trophy prior to Tuesday' game.
 
North Oaks Health System will sponsor the Lions' last series of the season this week versus UIW. The series opens with a 4 p.m. doubleheader Friday and closes Saturday at noon.
 
The Southeastern track and field teams will be in Baton Rouge Saturday to compete in the LSU Alumni Gold at 10 a.m.

All of this week's SLU baseball and softball games, as well as Wednesday's final round of the Southland Men's Golf Championships, will be televised on ESPN+.
