HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana men's and women's basketball teams will officially open the 2020-21 season during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Lions will open the campaign with their first two games of a season-opening nine-game road swing. SLU will tip-off the year at Purdue Fort Wayne on Wednesday at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Southeastern travels to UAB for a 2 p.m. contest.
 
The Lady Lions will also open the season on Wednesday, hosting Alcorn State at 1 p.m. in the University Center. Junior newcomers Chrissy Brown and Natalie Kelly will be Wednesday's Spotlight Players of the Game and the first 100 fans will receive trading cards featuring the duo, courtesy of PRIDE. Fans who check in on the Lions Gameday Experience app will earn double reward points.
 
SLU will head to Hattiesburg, Mississippi after Thanksgiving to compete in the 33^rd Annual Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic. Southeastern opens the tournament with a 6 p.m. game at Troy on Friday, before facing host Southern Miss on Saturday at 5 p.m.
 
On the Air
Both the men's and women's basketball games on Wednesday will air on ESPN+. Saturday's men's game will be streamed on conferenceusa.com.
 
The women's basketball games on Wednesday and Friday, as well as Saturday's men's basketball contest will be broadcast live in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9), online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and via the TuneIn Radio and Lions Gameday Experience apps.
