HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana's offensive attack sputtered Saturday evening, dropping a four-set match to California Baptist, 25-21, 25-27, 25-16, 25-20, on the opening day of the SLU Lion Up Classic at the University Center.
 
The Lady Lions (2-7) combined for .157 attack percentage (43 kills, 21 errors, 140 attempts), their lowest of the season. CBU (3-5) out-hit Southeastern in every set, combining for a .260 attack percentage in the match.
 
Jodi Edo, a senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, led the Lady Lions with 11 kills, a .269 attack percentage and had a hand in four of the team's nine blocks. Baylee Laskoskie (36 assists, 14 digs) picked up her fourth double-double of the season. Alexis Pratt (12) and Caroline Golden (11) both reached double-figures in digs.

After California Baptist and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (5-4) face each other at 11 a.m. Saturday, Southeastern wraps up the SLU Lion Up Classic against Jackson State (3-7) at 2 p.m.
 
Admission to all matches at the University Center this week is free. Fans are asked to enter the arena at Gate 3. Lady Lion volleyball posters and magnet schedules will be available in the Fan Zone.
