WEST POINT, N.Y. – Southeastern Louisiana returns to the road over Labor Day weekend for three volleyball matches at the Black Knights Invitational in Gillis Field House on the campus of the United States Military Academy.
The Lady Lions (1-2) will face Albany (0-3) in the tournament opener, Friday at 10 a.m. (CT) and then turn around to face Hofstra (3-1) later that afternoon a 3 p.m. (CT). The Lady Lions match up with host Army West Point (1-2) to conclude the weekend at 11 a.m. (CT) Saturday.
Live stats are available for every match in the four-team, round-robin event. The Patriot League Network will offer streaming video of all three Army West Point matches, including Southeastern's final tournament appearance, via Stadium. In addition to an online stream of the match, fans can also watch Southeastern's match against Army West Point using Stadium's app, available for mobile devices, both Apple (App Store) and Android (Google Play), and TV devices such as Android TV, Apple TV and Roku.

OPPONENTS
- Albany dropped all three of its matches in four sets this past weekend at the Ohio State Invitational, falling to the host Buckeyes, Texas A&M and Ohio. The Great Danes are hitting .081 while opponents have compiled a .264 attack percentage.
- Tatiana Tiangco (2.40 k/s), Akuabata Okenwa (1.64 k/s) and Kelly Cameron (6.25 a/s) lead Albany's offensive attack. Cameron and Anna Chalupa have served up five aces each. Nicole Otero (3.83 d/s), Cameron (2.83 d/s) and Grace Cozad (2.42 d/s) anchor the defense, while Danielle Tedesco (0.58 b/s) and Okenwa (0.45 b/s) are the Great Dane's top blockers.
- Hofstra picked up a pair of wins at the Hilton Penn's Landing Temple Invitational, defeating Rhode Island and host Temple, and topped Stony Brook in a non-conference match Tuesday. The Pride's lone loss this season came at the hands of Loyola Marymount in the team's invitational / season opener. They enter with a tournament-leading .276 attack percentage. Opponents are converting at a .213 success rate.
- Laura Masciullo (3.93 k/s), Aisha Skinner (3.13 k/s), Nanishka Perez (2.93 k/s) and Luisa Sydlik (13.40 a/s) pace Hofstra's offense. Maddie Appleton leads the team with six service aces. Sydlik (3.80 d/s) and Appleton (3.69 d/s) are the Pride's top defenders along the back line. Michela Rucli (1.14 b/s), Doris Bogoje (1.00 b/s), Skinner (0.80 b/s) and Masciullo (0.60 b/s) lead the blocking effort at the net.
- Army West Point dropped 2-of-3 matches in its own Army Invitational this past weekend, defeating Quinnipiac in the season opener before dropping matches to San Francisco and UTSA. The Black Knights are hitting .190 and holding opponents to a .176 attack percentage.
- Sydney Morriss (2.57 k/s), Emmy Barnhorst (2.50 k/s), Lauren Janok (7.00 a/s) and Hannah Presley (6.50 a/s) key Army's offensive attack. Allie Strong has served up a team-high five aces. Presley (3.67 d/s) and Ana Oglivie (3.00 d/s) are the Black Knight's top back-line defenders, while Barnhorst (1.36 b/s), Monica Eckford (0.79 b/s), Janok (0.75 b/s) and Presley (0.67 b/s) are the team's top blocking threats.
LAST MATCH
The Lady Lions split a pair of matches Saturday in Troy, Alabama during the final day of action at the Troy Invitational, picking up their first win of the season.
Southeastern bounced back after dropping the first set of the day to Southern (0-3), taking the match in four sets, 18-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19. In the final match, Troy (2-1) picked up the win in the straight sets, 25-16, 25-16, 25-9.
Against Southern,
Caroline Golden (Mandeville, Louisiana) led the Lady Lions with 16 kills and served up a pair of aces.
Elyssa Purcell (Alvin, Texas) contributed 14 and sophomore
Marisa Calvaruso (Denham Springs, Louisiana) added a career-high six kills.
Michelle Mirarchi (Plano, Texas) handed out 23 assists and
Haley Baker (Elkton, Maryland) contributed another 18 as the duo split setting duties.
Alexis Pratt (Houston, Texas) led Southeastern with 21 digs, more than doubling her previous career best.
Lexie Torres (San Antonio, Texas) was responsible for 16 more and Baker added eight digs.
UP NEXT
Southeastern remains on the road next week, traveling to Jackson State for a non-conference match Tuesday at 6 p.m.
