HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions will close out the road portion of their non-conference schedule when they visit in-state rival Southern University Thursday at 7 p.m. at A.W. Mumford Stadium.
Southeastern (2-3-1) wraps up non-conference play Sunday against Georgia State at 1 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium.

Hope Sabadash made six saves to move into third place on the Lady Lions' career list with 314, passing Nicole Helmig who had 312 from 2000-03. She needs five more to tie Lacey Bockhaus (2008-12) for second all-time.
Southeastern comes into the match leading the Southland Conference with 132 shots taken (22 per game). The Lady Lions have scored six goals while allowing nine. Ramsey leads the league with 26 shots and is tied for fifth with three goals. She is also tied for sixth with seven points. Sophomore
Sofia Olsson is second with 19 shots taken while sophomore
Payton Colson is tied for fourth with 16. Sabadash's two shutouts rank second in the Southland.
Southeastern will be taking on a Southern squad that is off to a 0-3 start. The Jaguars have lost to three Southland teams, falling at Nicholls, 8-0, and at home to McNeese, 6-1, and Lamar, 3-0. Southern, which finished 2-15 overall and 10
th in the Southwestern Athletic Conference at 2-8 in 2015, is picked to finish seventh in the conference this season. Senior defender Shelby Carbin was a preseason All-SWAC second team selection.
Junior midfielder Jessica Persico has Southern's goal on the season. She also leads the team with eight shots, six on goal. Freshman Victoria Mendes has seen action in goal all three matches, allowing 11 goals and making 14 saves, including nine against Lamar on Monday. Junior Kendra Lewis played a half in each of the first two matches, allowing six goals and making six saves.
"We're preparing for a strong, athletic Southern team," Southeastern head coach
Blake Hornbuckle said. "We're going to have to just go out and execute on both sides of the ball."
Southeastern is 8-0 against Southern all-time following a 5-0 win at home in 2015. The Lady Lions have yet to allow a goal against the Jaguars in the series that dates back to 2004.
