OPELIKA, Ala. – Southeastern Louisiana junior
Paul Obermann moved into a tie for third place following a second-round even-par 72 at the Tiger Invitational Presented by Jason Dufner on Monday at the Grand National Lake Course.
Obermann stands at 1-under for the tournament, three shots back of Troy's Luke Moser heading into Tuesday's final round. Moser moved into the lead with a 3-under 69, one stroke ahead of Auburn's Ben Schlottman. UNCG's Jake McGlone, Kennesaw State's Fredrik Nilehn and Auburn's Matt Gilchrest – the first-round leader – are tied with Obermann.
"He's doing great and he's in a great spot," Southeastern head coach
Jake Narro said. "It's going to be a great learning experience for him tomorrow, regardless of what happens. We're all as a team very excited for him."
Senior
Lawrence Allan had the low round of the day for Southeastern, firing a 1-under 71 to climb 36 spots into a tie for 50
th with a two-round 8-ver 152.
Southeastern slipped two spots into a tie for 13
th at 32-over 305 after a 17-over 305. Host Auburn leads by two shots over Troy with a 1-over 577. Kennesaw State is third at 7-over 583.
"The course is tough and the conditions were tougher today," Narro said. "Lots of win, a little bit cooler. No excuses but it certainly wasn't an easy round of golf which even highlights what Lawrence and Paul did a little more."

Obermann, starting off at No. 10 for the second straight day, bogeyed the hole before rallying with birdies at 12, 14 and 15 to move to 2-under. He bogeyed 17 and 18 to move back to even par, then had another bogey on No. 2. He recovered to birdie the par-5 fourth before a bogey on No. 6 dropped him to 1-over. But he birdied the par-5 seventh, then had a pair of pars over the final two holes.
Allan also opened with a bogey on No. 10 but came back to birdie the 13
th and 14
th. After a birdie on No. 1, he eagled the fourth to move to 3-under for the day before finishing with bogeys on No. 5 and 9.
Junior
James Anstiss shot an 8-over 80 and is tied for 73
rd at 13-over 157. He had birdies on the 14
th and 17. Senior
Eamon Bradley is a shot back and tied for 80
th after turning in a 10-over 82 that featured birdies at No. 4, 9, 15 and 16. And junior
Gustavo Leon is 93
rd at 19-over 163 following a 12-over 84.
