OPELIKA, Ala. – The Southeastern Louisiana men's golf team will look to continue its strong play from last week's Louisiana Classics when the Lions compete in the 2016 Tiger Invitational Presented by Jason Dufner Sunday through Tuesday.

    The three-day, 54-hole tournament hosted by Auburn University will be played on the par-72, 7,149-yard Grand National Lake Course. The tournament gets underway at 7:45 a.m. each day from holes 1 and 10 with the Lions scheduled to tee off in the first round from No. 10 starting at 9:15 a.m. Live stats, provided by Auburn and Golfstat, will be available at

    Southeastern, ranked 122
nd by Golfstat, will be competing against a top-ranked team for the second straight week in host Auburn. Also scheduled to be in the field are No. 80 Georgia State, No. 142 Jacksonville State, No. 57 Kansas State, No. 58 Kennesaw State, No. 24 Kentucky, Minnesota, No. 89 Mississippi State, No. 120 Notre Dame, No. 74 Ohio State, No. 181 South Alabama, No. 79 Troy, No. 201 Tulsa, No. 59, UNCG, No. 91, UNCW, No. 72 VCU and Auburn's "B" team.

    Southeastern is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Louisiana Classics, held at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette this past Monday and Tuesday. The Lions finished with an 11-over 875. Anstiss led Southeastern, tying for fifth with a 3-under 213. Leon tied for 19
th, Allan, tied for 32nd, Obermann tied for 44
th and Bradley, playing as an individual, tied for 55
th.

    "I think we will build on the momentum," Southeastern head coach
Jake Narro said. "I expect us to play well and continue to build toward (the Southland) Conference (Championships). It's a really strong field and it would be a really good time for us to have a good finish to move up the rankings."
