ABILENE, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana travels west to face Abilene Christian for the first time since the Wildcats joined the Southland Conference prior to the 2014 season.
Games between the Lions (11-6, 3-0 Southland) and ACU (9-7, 2-1 Southland) are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Crutcher Scott Field.
Defending Southland champ Southeastern is tied for first in the conference standings after sweeping a three-game series from Incarnate Word this past weekend. The Lions have won five straight.

Southeastern is coming off a 9-2 win this past Tuesday over South Alabama.
The Lions have five players hitting .300 or better, including
Jameson Fisher (.424),
Webb Bobo (.394),
Brennan Breaud (.344),
Jacob Seward (.318) and
Daniel Midyett (.305). Fisher also leads the squad with five home runs and 21 RBIs. Southeastern is hitting .284 as a team with 26 doubles, 12 home runs and 28 stolen bases.
Southeastern's pitching staff, which entered the week ranked ninth in the nation with an average of 10.1 strikeouts per nine innings, has compiled a 2.29 ERA, fanning 171 batters through 153.1 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .205 off Lion pitching.
Kyle Cedotal (2-2, 1.44) draws the starting assignment for the Lions in the opener. He will be opposed Friday by senior righty Kyle Carroll (2-2, 1.93) for the Wildcats.
Saturday the Lions will send sophomore right-hander
Mac Sceroler (1-2, 4.24) to the mound opposite ACU righty Garrett deMeyere (2-1, 2.82).

Domenick Carlini (2-0, 1.82) draws the starting nod for Southeastern in Sunday's finale against Wildcat senior left-hander Aaron Mason (3-1, 2.14).
ACU's pitching staff has compiled a 3.56 ERA, fanning 103 batters through 139 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .238 off Wildcat pitching.
Russell Crippen (.304), Alex Copeland (.302) and Austin Call (.300) are ACU's top offensive players. The Wildcats are hitting .268 as a team with 18 doubles, two home runs and 20 stolen bases.
ACU snapped a three-game losing streak this past Tuesday with a 10-0 win over Texas-Permian Basin.
Southeastern wraps up its four-game road swing Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Jackson State.
