2015 (Junior): Compiled a 1-0 win-loss record with three saves and a 6.38 ERA in 17 appearances … earned starts against Tulane (2/18) and LSU (2/26) … struck out 30 batters in just 24 innings of work … fanned a season-high 11 batters in 5-inning stint against Tulane (2/18) … earned first win of his Lion career against McNeese State (4/17), fanning the side in a scoreless inning of work … fanned five, allowing just one hit 3.1 scoreless innings at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/20).

Junior College: Compiled a 3-3 record and 2.91 ERA in 57.2 innings of work as a sophomore at Northwest Mississippi Community College … tied for team lead in strikeouts (59) … tossed three complete games, including a pair of shutouts, and earned two saves … named Mr. Ranger as a sophomore … went 4-5 with a 3.16 ERA and two complete games in 10 starts as a freshman, striking out 60 and holding opponents to a .254 batting average in 62 innings of work.

High School: Earned two letters in baseball for head coach Shane Faulkner at DeSoto Central … helped the Jaguars to a 21-10 mark, second round playoff appearance and a second place finish in the district his senior year … went 6-4 with a 2.30 ERA in 54.2 innings of work and struck out 60 against just 22 walks … as a junior, led his team in wins and strikeouts with a 1.24 ERA (third lowest in the state) … second team all-state and all-conference selection … off the field, he was an FCS leader.

Personal: Born in Memphis, Tennessee … son of Domenick Carlini III and Amy Jeneanne Powell … has two younger brothers, Hayden Cross Carlini and Alex Powell, and younger sister, Laila Carrol Powell … father played football and tennis in college … enjoys going to church, watching movies and playing ping pong … majoring in sport management.
