HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana Lions will bring out the measuring stick again when they host LSU-Alexandria in their second exhibition Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the University Center.
Southeastern pulled away from Southern-New Orleans, 81-53, in an exhibition game last Wednesday and Lions head coach
Jay Ladner said he wants to see what improvements his team has made before opening the season for real on Nov. 11 at home against Millsaps.
"That's kind of where we were last week," Ladner said. "We had an opportunity to evaluate where we were and it kind of gives you more focus on the areas of your game where you need attention. LSUA presents a more formidable challenge in that they are ranked No. 5 in NAIA and they have a Division I lineup. It's going to a higher-level measuring stick, so hopefully we have improved from last week. Winning and losing is not as important at this point as is we show improvement as we prepare for our season. But we certainly will have to play much better if we're to have a chance to win."
Courtside Top Cat seats for the game are $26. General admission tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children (age 3-12). Southeastern students will be admitted free with a valid university ID card. Fans can also attend the game for free by presenting their tickets from the Oct. 29 Southeastern-Central Arkansas football game. The University Center box office opens one hour prior to tip-off.
There will be no radio broadcast for the game. LionVision subscribers will be able to access a live video stream of the game at
