Lions Travel To South Alabama For Rematch With Jaguars

Southeastern won previous meeting, 9-3

MOBILE, Ala. – With 20 games remaining in the regular season, Southeastern Louisiana travels to the University of South Alabama for a 6:30 p.m. rematch Tuesday with the Jaguars at Stanky Field.

Southeastern (23-13) defeated USA (16-19) in Hammond, La., back on April 1, 9-3.

The game can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU 90.9 FM, online and either the KSLU or TuneIn Radio smartphone apps. Fans can keep up with the contest through live statistics or by following SLUathletics on Twitter. Streaming video is available on LionVision, Southeastern's subscription-based video stream. The Lions are coming off Southland Conference series victory over Incarnate Word punctuated by a 5-4 walkoff win this past Sunday.

Jameson Fisher (.359), Andrew Godbold (.336) and Kevin Carr (.306) lead Southeastern at the plate. Brett Hoffman owns a team-high 11 doubles. Godbold's three home runs and 31 RBIs lead the team.

The Lions are hitting .277 as a team and have been successful on 57-of-86 stolen base attempts. Southeastern's pitching staff has compiled a 2.85 ERA, third-lowest in the Southland, fanning 258 batters in 322 innings pitched.

Sophomore left-hander Kyle Cedotal (1-1, 1.99) gets the start for on the mound for Southeastern opposite Jaguar senior right-hander Matt Bell (2-5, 6.69).

Cole Gleason (.318) leads USA in batting average and is tied for the team lead in doubles (eight) with Hayden Jones. Catcher Matt Wojciechowski has driven in a team-high 15 runs. Adam Ballew's four stolen bases lead the squad.

The Jaguars are hitting .239 as a team and have been successful on 11-of-26 stolen base attempts. USA's pitching staff has compiled a 3.69 ERA, fanning 252 batters in 319.1 innings pitched.

Southeastern returns to action in a three-game series, beginning Thursday, against the University of New Orleans. Games Thursday and Saturday will be played at Maestri Field in New Orleans, La., but Friday's contest is slated for for 6 p.m. at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
