HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team returns to Southland Conference play Saturday at the University Center, hosting two-time defending conference champ Central Arkansas at 11 a.m.
Southeastern (5-10, 2-1 Southland) is coming off a three-set victory Thursday at Jackson State and Central Arkansas (9-7, 4-0 Southland) defeated the University of New Orleans in straight sets Thursday to remain undefeated in conference action.

Last time out,
Tiffany Thomas (.294 attack percentage) and
Veronica Turk each recorded seven kills against Jackson State to lead the Lady Lion offense.
Mikayla Shippy handed out 27 assists.
Rachael Bunn factored in five of Southeastern's nine team blocks.
Morgan Todd had 11 digs and
Brooke Balser added nine in the Lady Lion win.
This season,
Parrie Hartley (2.51 kills per set), Thomas (2.33 k/set), Turk (1.92 k/set) and Shippy (8.98 assists per set) have been key to Southeastern's offensive success. Bunn (0.98 blocks per set) and Turk (0.71 b/set) are the Lady Lions' top blockers. Along the back row, Todd (5.02 digs per set) and Balser (2.79 d/set) anchor the defense.
Todd is fourth in the conference in digs while Shippy is sixth in assists.
Heather Schnars (3.88 k/set), Evie Singleton (3.04 k/set) and Amy South (10.48 a/set) pace the Sugar Bear offense. South leads the Southland in assists while Schnars is second in kills. Shelbee Berringer leads Central Arkansas in digs (4.32 d/set), ranking fifth in the conference.
The match against the Sugar Bears is the first of three-straight home contests for Southeastern. The Lady Lions host McNeese State, Tuesday at 7 p.m., and UNO, Saturday at 2 p.m., to round out the homestand.
