Logane Fuselier each homered, as the Lady Lions scored in every inning on the way to a 14-2 win over in-state foe Southern on Wednesday afternoon at Lady Jaguar Field.
Southeastern (14-7) finished with 16 hits in the victory, as all nine starters, as well as Fuselier, junior third baseman

Kenna Terry (3-1) went the distance in the circle for Southeastern, holding Southern (1-25) to seven hits.
“We were able to score some runs early and gain some momentum,” Southeastern head coach
Pete Langlois said. “We were very pleased to see the offensive production throughout the lineup.”

Kayla Elswick were both 3-for-3 at the plate. Nichols drove in a game-high four runs, while Sheppard finished with three RBI. The Lady Lions saw five players score two runs apiece.

Amber Sather gave Southeastern runners at the corners. Lacour would score on a fielder's choice off the bat of Nichols and Sather would race home on a sacrifice fly by sophomore third baseman
Megan Moore.
After Southern cut the lead in half in the bottom of the first inning, Southeastern blew open the game in the top of the second inning. The first two runs of the frame came on Sheppard's third home run of the season, a high blast over the left field fence. Nichols and Moore would drive in runs for the second straight inning to push the lead to 6-1.

Michelle Duhe padded the lead to 9-1 in the top of the third inning. Home runs by Nichols and Fuselier highlighted the next two innings and Southeastern built a 14-1 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth inning.
Terry allowed one run in Southern's last trip to the plate on three consecutive two-out singles. However, she struck out sophomore Desiree Dawson to enforce the mercy rule. Sophomore Carla Arismendi (1-10) took the loss in the circle for Southern, allowing nine runs in three innings of work.
Southeastern will now return to Southland Conference play, traveling to new league member Houston Baptist for a three-game weekend series.
