HAMMOND, La. – The two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana University softball team made its debut in the Softball America Top 25 Monday.
Southeastern (33-9, 15-0 SLC) is ranked No. 25 in Monday's poll. It marks the second time the Lions have been ranked nationally this season, as SLU was ranked 25
th in the NFCA Coaches Top 25 after the opening weekend of the season.
Southeastern is currently on a school-record 19-game winning streak. The Lions currently lead the nation with 16 shutouts, while also ranking in the Division I top 20 in earned run average (1.65, 3
rd), hits (372, 12
th), hits allowed per seven innings (4.38, 5
th), stolen bases per game (2.12, 18
th), sacrifice bunts (30, 14
