HAMMOND – After a grueling road trip that featured three games against teams that competed in the 2012 NCAA Championships, the Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team officially opens its home schedule on Tuesday when it plays host to Louisiana College at the University Center.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. The game, which is the nightcap of a doubleheader with the Southeastern women's team, can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the internet at www.LionSports.net. A live video stream (subscription required) and live statistics are available in the Fan Zone at www.LionSports.net.

Southeastern (0-3), which is 6-1 in home openers under head coach Jim Yarbrough, opened its season with losses at Big 10 opponent Wisconsin, Big East foe Marquette and defending Western Athletic Conference Tournament champion New Mexico State. The Lions concluded their cross country road trip with an 81-56 loss at NMSU as the Aggies erased a six-point deficit in the first half and cruised to their first win of the season.

Brandon Fortenberry, who scored a season-high 21 points against NMSU, leads Southeastern in scoring at 10.7 points per game followed by Roosevelt Johnson (8.3) and newcomer Dre Evans (8.0). Jeffery Ricard (7.7) and Onochie Ochie (6.0) are next in scoring for the Lions with Jan Petrovcic leading Southeastern with 6.7 rebounds per game.

The game against Louisiana College, which is opening its season after playing at Houston in an exhibition game on Monday, will be the first between the schools on the hardwood since Southeastern recorded an 89-56 victory on Nov. 16, 2001. The game will be the 50th meeting between the schools since the 1947-48 season with Southeastern holding a 36-13 lead.

Tickets are available by calling the Southeastern Athletic Ticket Office at (985) 549-5466 or on-line at www.LionSports.net.
