Southeastern finalizes its 2026-27 signing class as Yanis Ndjonga, Logan Suber, Jackson Furman and Jaheim Nyam complete their signatures

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team inked the signatures of four student-athletes to complete its 2026-27 signing class as Yanis Ndjonga, Logan Suber, Jackson Furman and Jaheim Nyam will continue their academic and athletics endeavors, announced Southeastern head coach David Kiefer.

Ndjonga, Suber, Furman and Nyam come to Hammond, America as SLU concludes its recruiting stretch for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The program introduces four student-athletes with Division I experience to further bolster its competitive edge and depth, though with fresh faces in 11 newcomers.

"This class checked every box for us. We added experience, size, athleticism, shooting, toughness, and most importantly, young men who fit the culture of Southeastern basketball," stated Coach Kiefer. "We believe this group has the talent and character to help us compete for championships while representing our university the right way."

Ndjonga, a native of Yaounde, Cameroon, is no stranger to the Southland Conference and comes to Southeastern after one season at McNeese. Last season, Ndjonga appeared in 28 games with four starts for the Cowboys, averaging 3.4 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game. The newcomer finished 63.6 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe while also claiming 12 steals.

The 6-8 forward posted a career-high 10 points against Biblical Studies (TX) and 11 rebounds versus Champion Chris. Ndjonga provided a spark of momentum on the glass, recording seven crucial rebounds in McNeese's SLC championship win over SFA. Ndjonga also spent two seasons at Baylor (2023-25) before his freshman season at New Mexico Military Institute.

"Yanis was one of the hardest playing big men in the conference last season," commented Kiefer. "He has a chance to be one of the best rebounders in the SLC with his relentless work ethic. He's a big piece to the puzzle."

Suber, a Fredericksburg, Va. native, comes to SLU with two years of eligibility remaining after three seasons at Lipscomb (2023-26). The guard appeared in 33 games during his career, but redshirted last season with the Bisons. Suber posted a career-high seven points against Truett-McConnell as a freshman while claiming 15 steals as the Lions look for the newcomer to make an immediate impact on the defensive end.

"We love everything Logan brings to the table. He's a tough, hard-nosed point guard who competes every possession and has a relentless motor on the defensive end," said Kiefer. "He takes pride in making life difficult for opposing guards and brings a level of intensity that elevates everyone around him."

Furman, a native of Upper Marlboro, Md., comes to Hammond, America with three years of eligibility left. The 6-2 guard saw action in 32 games with eight starts as a freshman, averaging 8.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game to close out the previous season with 15 games in double figures. Furman finished as the fourth leading scorer for the Black Knights while securing eight games with three or more 3-pointers and two games with five or more 3-pointers.

The rookie recorded 17 points in 20 minutes against SUNY Maritime before claiming a career high 20 points in 18 minutes versus Duke. Furman stepped up to post a 12 point and career-high 10 rebounds to close out his first season, shooting at a 34.7 percent clip from the three-point line and 82.2 percent from the free throw line.

"Jack is the type of player that changes a game in a hurry. He's an elite shooter with the ability to score off the catch, off the dribble, and in big moments," stated Kiefer. "Beyond his offensive talent, he brings a level of toughness, confidence, and competitiveness that fits exactly who we want to be as a program. He's a big-time addition to our roster, and we're excited to see the impact he'll have in Hammond."

Nyam, comes to Southeastern from Paris, France with three years of eligibility remaining. The 6-3 forward completes the program's 2026-27 signing class after one season at Bryant, along with teammates Ashley Sims II, Gio Sanford and Quincy Allen. Nyam appeared in five games for the Bulldogs after a season at Kilgore College (2023-24).
