NATCHITOCHES, La. – After picking up a non-conference win against Grambling State, the Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team begins the final month of the regular season Thursday with a 7 p.m. Southland Conference match at Northwestern State.

The Lady Lions are coming off a sweeping three-set victory over Grambling Tuesday. Southeastern recorded its second-best attack percentage of the season in the match.
Courtney Donald continues to lead the Lady Lion offense while climbing into the top-10 in several Southeastern career statistical categories. The senior from Tomball, Texas, ranks second in the Southland in kills (3.90 per set) and her .370 hitting percentage ranks third.
Donald now ranks ninth in Lady Lion history in kills (873), total attempts (2394) and block assists (185). Her career .238 attack percentage is the sixth-best in school history.
Aiding Donald on offense are
Veronica Turk (2.46 k/set),
Tamra Grayson (1.61 k/set)
Shelby Devlin (1.58 k/set) and
Becky Bekelja (8.95 assists per set). The Lady Lions are the second-best hitting team (.201 attack percentage) in the conference.
Megan McMillin, with the fifth-best digs per set (4.34) average in the Southland, anchors the Southeastern back row. Bekelja (2.27),
Morgan Todd (1.98) and
Cherish Krohn (1.82) contribute significantly to the Lady Lion defensive efforts.
Northwestern State has dropped three of its last four conference matches, including a pair last week at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Sam Houston State.
Sophomore Stacey DiFrancesco ranks fifth in the Southland with 3.17 kills per set. Lending offensive support for the Lady Demons are Mackenzie Neely (2.78 k/set), Caiti O'Connell (2.68 k/set) and Emily Sweet (9.59 a/set).
Keelie Arneson is second in the conference with an average of 4.88 digs per set. Northwestern State is the third-best blocking team in the Southland (2.14 blocks per set).
Southeastern returns to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Stephen F. Austin.
