Jae Cutno caught five passes for 75 yards and three touchdowns while quarterbacks
Brian Young and
Nathan Stanley each tossed a pair of touchdowns to lead the Southeastern Louisiana University football team in its second scrimmage of camp Saturday morning in Strawberry Stadium.

It was a day for the Lions' young receivers to shine as All-America candidate
Simmie Yarborough played the first series while
Brandon Collins was held out. That opened the door for Cutno and Johnson that helped generate a passing attack that threw for a combined 25-for-40 for 322 yards. Johnson, a converted defensive back, caught a pair of passes for 84 yards while
Zeke Jones,
Blane Arnold and
Tre' Vaughn caught three passes each.
“The strength of our team is our group of receivers,” Southeastern head coach Mike Lucas said. “It just shows the depth of our receivers and the ability that our quarterbacks have in throwing the football. I think we're going to be able to throw it on a lot of people.”
Young, who finished 10-for-13 for 182 yards, led the No. 1 offense down the field before freshman
Ryan Adams booted a 34-yard field goal. Stanley, who transferred from Ole Miss during the summer, finished 12-for-18 for 125 yards. The 6-foot-5 junior completed seven straight passes in one stretch, including a 37-yard strike to
Kory Theodore down the right sideline.
Blaine LeBlanc led Southeastern on the ground with 20 yards rushing with freshman
C.J. Patton finishing with 15 yards on four carries.
Southeastern registered four sacks on defense while freshman
Givonni Dent intercepted a pass. The Lions' special teams were solid with
Beau Mothe averaging 44 yards on four punts, including a 53-yarder on his final attempt, with
Matt McCormick averaging 46.5 yards on two punts, including a 51-yard boot.
