SAN MARCOS, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana senior
Allison Jones posted a team-high seven kills, while sophomore
Courtney Donald hit .385 for the match, but the Lady Lions fell to Texas State, 25-18, 25-9, 25-18 in Southland Conference volleyball action Saturday morning at Strahan Coliseum.
The Lady Lions fell to 10-21 overall and 1-13 in Southland Conference action in their final road match of the 2010 season. Texas State hit .269 for the match, improving to 17-11 overall and 10-4 in league action.

Stephanie Mueller (six kills) and Donald (five kills) were the top producers for Southeastern, which hit .098 for the match. Junior
Arianne Cruckshank and freshman
Lindsey Young were the top distributors for Southeastern, finishing with 10 and nine assists, respectively.
Defensively, Donald led the Lady Lions with three blocks. Cruckshank and freshman
Kinsey Williams each posted two blocks for Southeastern. Senior
Alex Greer led the Lady Lions with 12 digs.
Amari Deardorrf paced Texas State with 11 kills. Caleigh McCoroquodale led the Bobcats with 25 assists and posted a team-high 10 digs to finish the match with a double-double. Deardorrf led Texas State with three blocks.
Southeastern will close out its 2010 schedule at home with two matches next week. On Thursday, the Lady Lions host Northwestern State at 7 p.m. in the University Center.
Central Arkansas visits Hammond to close out the regular season on Saturday at 1 p.m. Jones and Greer will be honored in a pre-match Senior Day ceremony prior to Saturday's first serve.
